Our church was draped in purple today for the Advent season. We were able to light our Advent wreath that I made today for lunch and dinner. I was hoping to buy 3 purple and 1 rose colored candles to make the traditional wreath but they were too expensive. So I used mom's suggestion of tying the colored ribbons around white candels. I am so excited for this wonderful time of year! We got our tree yesterday which was very fun and we decorated it today. I will post a few pictures soon. The ornaments, unfortunately, are only on the top half of the tree but that is the way it goes with a 16 month old in the house. She is obsessed with the bulbs and already broke one that was not high enough up on the tree. It is not worth fighting her over for the next 4 weeks.
