Christmas tree hunt 2013
Pictures from getting our tree a few weeks ago. Merry Christmas Eve all!
This is the one! Not quite the beautiful PNW Nobel fir but we still like it.
Reagan liked this tree. I had to be the bearer of bad news and tell her that it is dead.
Katya was such a great helper this year with decorating the tree!
Reagan on the other hand, lost steam pretty quick:-)

Dr. Rena A Kirkland
I feel so blessed to have been able to go to Colorado last weekend for my sister Rena's graduation ceremony. We couldn't be prouder of her accomplishments. She earned (and I mean earned!) her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. The commencement was Friday evening, then on Saturday mom and dad, and Rena's best friend from grade school Teresie, threw her a party. It was wonderful to get to help with the party and it was a really fun time. Teresie and her husband Simon flew in from Arizona for the event, and she did an awesome job with all the decorations! Mom and dad provided the venue (their house) and fantastic food and drinks.

Never caught up..
I am super behind on editing pictures. It doesn't help that our current desktop is a dinosaur and takes forever to open my RAW files in photoshop elements. But I was reading a Christmas letter yesterday and it got me thinking about how easy it is to feel out of touch with our family. Especially now that it is not just my family that we are far away from, but ALL our family. So I am going to get back in the practice of blogging.
Here are so pictures that I finished last night of our trip to Olympia last summer. Like I said, I am sorely behind.
