Favorites

I snapped a few pictures in my favorite, favorite dress that my sister made Katya. This was Katya's first favorite dress. Reagan also loved it. Now it's Elsie's turn! Though it is going to quickly be too short on our tall girl:-)

Elsie is getting really attached to a stuffed frog that Craig's cousin got her for Christmas.  She is wanting to bring it downstairs after nap/night time and carry it around.  She says, "Froggy!" in a really goofy way (on purpose) to get her sisters laughing.  It is pretty funny.  She is repeating EVERYTHING and had Katya and Reagan rolling the other day when she was singing "Happy too too" at the dinner table.  Elsie's other favorite things are a book Doug and Sharon got her called "Heads," play dough, and going on walks.

We have a busy few months coming up here.  A day at the beach, spring break in Olympia (2 nights), Easter, Reagan's birthday, a couple of photo shoots, and at the end of April, Craig is off on the Tiger cruise.  I am not really looking forward to my tiny glimps into Navy life; i.e. the single parent gig while Craig is away.  But I am SO excited for him and it is only 7 days for goodness sake.  My amazing sister is into her second 8 month deployment; she is such an inspiration.  Such a sacrifice they make to serve our country.  I can never express my gratitude enough.

Love and prayers, Brenda

Big girl

Gosh, she has grown up so much since school started last Fall. Is it really selfish of me to feel sad that Katya spends more of the week day at school then with me?! It is the way of the future of course; I just wish this first year of primary school was a little less hours in the classroom and a few more being a goofy, carefree kid. We sure love our school though. Katya is doing very well and learning a TON. Ms. Baird says that her whole class is more at the first grade level now then kindergarten; which is were they need to be at the end of the school year. Way to go Ms. Baird! Katya has really impressed us with her reading and math skills. I love seeing the homework she brings home, often math, which approches problems from a varity of directions. We downloaded a few learning apps for the I-pad which the kids love.

I am enjoying the routine we have fallen into. Craig takes K to school about 3 days a week and I take her the other two. The littles and I usually get outdoors for a while in the morning. And then we really burn some energy after school on the playground. We stay for up to an hour after school running around and playing various games. It is pretty fun:-)

Here are some pictures of K wearing my black dress that my Aunt got me:-) She looks pretty cute in it!
