A BIG thank you to all who sponsored Katya in the jog-a-thon! Fundraising is apart of school life, one of my least favorite parts. I know it is important, but I am grateful that Holy Cross doesn't have a ton of fundraising events. Katya did awesome! She ran a little over 2 miles, 13 laps around the indoor track at U of P's basketball stadium. It was fun being there and cheering on all the kids. Katya raised 114$!
A little housekeeping note: I am having photo storage problems with my blog and I am having to go back and delete old pictures. It is a bummer but I don't want to pay for more storage space. I am going to make a bigger effort to resize all my images to LOW RESOLUTION in order to save on space. This means you will not be able to save and print any of my photos. If there is a photo you would like to print, you can ask me to send you the full resolution version. I will ALAWYS resize and watermark on my photography blog to protect from copyright theft. Thank you!

Gooseberry Messa
I love this picture of my dad on a mountain bike ride in Utah! It was taken by his friend Todd this weekend (how great have cell phone cameras gotten?!). My dad drove 12hrs to meet his friends Todd and Shawn in Vegas for a motorcycle something or other. Then they went on this ride in Utah. He is currently on route back to CO. That is one way to beat the rocky mountain winter blues!! I love your adventurous spirit dad!

Sassafras
Our wee one is 16 months old and getting more and more onery everyday. Miss E will tell you when she is displeased; oh yes she will:-) I don't think we have an easy peasy temperament on our hands with this one. I am sure I don't know where she gets it from:-). Despite the tantrums, it is really fun to see her emerging personality and how she fits herself into our family dynamic.
Poor girl has been teething like mad, cutting all 4 canines and all 4 of her first premolars. It has been hard on her but I think she is over the worst of it. She has also taken some first steps! Woo-hoo! Elsie is already obsessed with shoes, taking after her big cous Laney:-) She is getting better at saying, "Katy" and "sis-sis," but no Reagan yet. When we arrived at school this afternoon she started saying, "Katy, Katy" before we even got out of the car. So sweet.

Outting in St John's
Last week I took Reagan and Elsie to Starbucks in St John's for a little cocoa treat. And an eggnog latte for me, yum!! Elsie wouldn't even try the cocoa, silly baby, since she didn't know what it was. Her sister did not mind drinking her share:-) Afterwards enjoyed a little stroll around St John's before heading to school to get K.

Prayer Request
I had a really bad day today, for reasons I am not going to get into here. The worst I have had in some time. But, sheesh, my family is healthy and we have so much to be grateful for. I start crying just thinking of our scare with Reagan's lymphangioma; the waiting at Doernbecher's while she was in surgery; the terror sitting down in that little room with Dr. Hayden when he emerged from the OR; the relief when we heard our baby was okay, but my deep, deep sadness for families who are not as lucky as we were. I thought of those nameless families a lot during that time. It may seem strange in a way; of course I was so happy but I kept thinking that kids do get sick, really sick and how unfair life can be.
I am asking for prayers for one of those families. My favorite local newborn photographer, Erin Tole Photography, has a dear friend who's two year old was diagnosed with a very large brain tumor on Halloween. She had surgery at Doernbecher's a few days ago. My heart absolutely breaks for them. Please, please keep baby Reese and her family in your prayers. They could use all they can get.
