It was a crazy weekend for us! Craig had a great time running Hood to Coast. A little too much fun if you ask me. Joanne's wedding at Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast was beautiful and my girls had a BLAST!
I finally posted a link to our Tahoe pictures. I decided to add some captions instead of doing a long narrative of our trip. So you will only get bits and pieces...way too many pictures of the kids but that's what I do:0) The kids did really well sleeping in the tent. They were pretty good in the car; poor Reagan staring at the back of the bench seat the whole 700 some miles. She is a trouper that one. Craig went on 3 or 4 really awesome mountain bike rides with my dad and Nathan. I rode everyday too, only 4 miles or so but it was really fun for me. The mansion in the pictures is part of the state park and was about 2 miles from our campground (walking back on their last day there, Grandma B saw a bear and 2 cubs in the middle of the day!). We went on a tour of the mansion which was really fun and enjoyed the lovely grounds. The campground was very nice. Big, but the sites were huge and far apart. It was nice and quiet despite the amount of people that I imagine were stay there. We stopped in Bend on the return trip and drove home through Sisters, OR. We stopped at St. Edwards (unfortunately too late for Mass) and took some pictures. I will post those later. Over all, FANTASTIC vacation. I am ready to do it all again!

Reagan and her Baba Dennis
I love these pictures of Reagan and my dad! It took Miss Reagan a while to warm up to everone but she did pretty well over all. She was all about her daddy this week, since he was there more than she is use to. Her favorite new phrase is, "My daddy!" Some other new words this week are: Elmo, tree, teeth, beach. Another new and cute thing she's doing: When she asks about something, ( ex, pointing and asking "This?") and I respond (ex, "That is a giraff") she then says, "Oh." All day today she was asking for Baba and saying, "More Baba?" I Skyped my folks this evening and the firs thing the heard was Reagan saying, "Baba! Baba!" Love it.
I probablly won't get photo albums from our trip posted until this weekend or later. I am so enjoying have the Smiths stay with us and can't wait for my mom to arrive tomorrow. I can't get enough of Laney's chubby little cheeks and deep blue eyes. And Miss Charlie is such a doll! She has the cutest little voice ever. Love to all, B

Home again
We arrived home safe and sound yesterday afternoon. We had a FANTASTIC time in Lake Tahoe. Camping, biking, walks, the beach and family! It couldn't have been better. Here are a few 'teasers.' As you can imagine, I have a lot of editing to do and it will take me some time to compile my pictures from the trip. I will be uploading them to a Kodak album and will get it posted as soon as I can. Probablly by the end of the week.
The sisters, checking out the little museum at Sugar Point State Park.
This girl is a camping fanatic!
Dirt is fun!
Grant; very interested in the bath set up we had for the girls.
Carsten enjoying a treat!
I can't wait to see the Smith's who will be staying with us starting Tuesday! Friday is JoAnn Smith's wedding in Hood River (we are staying the night out there, fun!). My mom will be arriving on Thursday and will be going to the wedding. It will be so nice to have some extra help since Craig will not be going us. Craig's 'Hood to Coast' race starts bright and early Friday morning...busy, busy!

We are packed and ready to go! It will be so nice to be 'off the grid' for the next week. We will be home next Saturday or Sunday, not sure yet. Until then...

Fun with the kids
I was on my way to Columbia park this morning when I got distracted and decided to stop and take a few pictures in front of this cute mural on the side of Portsmouth middle school. Then Katya needed to use the bathroom so we ran home and ended up at the pocket park instead of Columbia. Oh well, we all had fun!
Three days till vacation! We are super excited and ready to hit the road! Well, ready mentally...still need to pack. Poor Reagan is cutting a molar today but her cold is getting better. I am very tired, obviously still fighting the germs but not sick. I hope I don't get sick over vacation as I often do. Love to all, Brenda

Sisters
Here are a couple of pictures of my girls. I bribed Katya into letting me take these. Katya sure is a great big sister. She is very sweet to Reagan (most of the time) and is always concerned where Reagan is or if she needs something. I am loving watching Katya grow up and move on to more 'big girl' toys, games and play. Her big girl bed is all set up and she looks so small in it! I will post some pictures when we get her new comforter. I am really happy with the bed purchase. We only spent 300 on the bunk set and it is very nice and sturdy.
I have to blog about a couple of cute and smart things Reagan did yesterday. We were walking home from the little park, she pushing her lion, and I told her, "good job Reagan!" She replied, "thank you." Later that evening she pointed to the flower on her shirt and said, "flower" (a new word for her). She is saying 'bite' now, when she wants a bite of something someone else is eating. She also says, 'uh-oh!" when she drops something. She says over 25 words! She also nods yes or no in reply to things we ask her. It is SO nice that she is able to communicate so well. I can just ask her what she is wanting, for example "Do you want to go outside?" and she will nod yes (or no, if she doesn't want to). Yesterday and this morning we were able to cox several more baby steps and several attempts out of her! Very exciting.

More Katya pictures
Here are some more cute pictures from Katya's shoot that didn't make the first cut. Katya had a wonderful birthday. Thanks so much for the great gifts! She is especially enjoying her ruby slippers from Grandma Dana, the watercolors from Grandma Sharon, the Teddy Ruxpin books from the Smiths and the bubbles from Allen/Eryn.
Katya is doing so great in her big girl bed. Her naps have worked themselves out and she is now napping more often than not. She does get woken up or is unable to fall asleep due to screaming babies (Sterling and Reagan) a little more regularly then I would like, but that's the deal when you have more than one kid in the house. I am SO impressed and happy how she does not even try to leave her room or open her door once she is down. Even if she doesn't sleep, she looks at books and clothes quietly. It is such a relief to know that once I put her down, I don't need to worry about her wondering out until I am ready for her.
We finally worked out the bunk beds (the one I originally ordered was back ordered until Sept) and we should be picking them up tonight. Not sure when we will set the bed up. I think we might set up just the bottom bunk instead of just the top bunk like I had planned. I think she is pretty good in a bed now...and it is not too high off the floor. It will be much easier to make her bed without the extra railings. I ordered a cute comforter from Target and a big tree decal for her room. It will be fun working on her 'big girl' room! Pictures to come!

Reagan
I love these pictures of Reagan in the DARLING shirt from Candace. She had just woken up from a nap and still looks a little sleepy. I love the tear under her right eye!
Miss Reagan continues to astound me every day. She is so freaking cute and fun. She is still amazing me with her vocal skills and is starting to phase out signs because she is talking so well.
She is standing unsupported really well now. She gets a huge smile on her face when she does it. She took 2 tiny little steps yesterday! Today I coxed one tiny step out of her before she went down to her knees. She is just not quite ready but it is fun to see her progress in the mobility department.
She really pronounces the P in 'up' and the T in 'that' and 'hat.' She is starting to say down, when she wants down instead of saying up. She says 'up' in place of on, off, open and close. She loves asking to put shoes "up"(on) and "up"(off) and wants to do it over and over again.
A little drooly here.
Reagan is still a fountain of snot and slobber, as she has been for the last few days. Poor Katya's cute little voice is all hoarse and she has a cough. Her nose if fairing better than her sisters though. Several times over the last few days Katya has been saying, "Mommy, I'm not feeling very well." My poor girl! Craig is sick too and is exhausted from not sleeping well. I have managed to fight the yuck successfully...at least thus far. Love to all!

Pictures for Sharon
Grandma Sharon requested a current photo of her three grand kids. Here are a few, and some others to brighten your day! I will try to get some better ones next time I see Addison.
This one is my favorite, though you can't see Reagan that well.
This one would be good if Katya's hair wasn't in the way!
Reagan was not having it!
I LOVE this one....too bad you can't see Reagan:(
One of my sick girl.
I really like this one even though you can't see Katya's beautiful face. I love the composition; how the wall curves and goes from blurry to focused to blurry.
